In a Fox News interview, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said that the current primary focus of the company was implementing a Federal Trade Commission-mandated privacy program. Zuckerberg indicated that more than 1,000 employees are planned to work an FTC-mandated "comprehensive privacy program to protect consumers' information." The privacy program is part of Facebook's settlement with the FTC, in the wake of the Cambridge Analytica scandal. According to CNBC, Facebook was required to install a chief privacy officer to oversee the new program, and nominated longtime Facebook executive Michel Protti for the position.
