The forthcoming US national cybersecurity strategy will include guidance on standardising quantum-resistant cryptography. This was confirmed by Dylan Presman, director of budget and assessment at the Office of the National Cyber Director, during a speech given to Advanced Technology Academic Research Center (ATARC). Presman acknowledged the transformational qualities and opportunities of quantum computers but noted that there are steps needed to be taken to secure US networks and systems from adversarial threats.
