Scottish Government launches new digital inclusion strategy

Mar, 11, 2023 Hi-network.com

The Sottish government revealed a new digital inclusion strategy that outlines key measures for Scotland to fulfill its potential in a constantly evolving digital world with a special focus on inclusion and coronavirus recovery. The document, which hinges on a previous consultation where more than 200 responses were received from across Scotland, was designed by the Scottish Government and Convention of Scottish Local Authorities (COSLA). It provides suggested actions on three main strands: people and place, a strong digital economy, and digital government and services. 'Progress has been made to address this with Connecting Scotland bringing 55,000 people online by the end of this year. Now we want to go further and achieve world-leading levels of inclusion -as part of an ethical digital nation in which everybody has the skills, connectivity, and devices required to reap the benefits of technology,' Innovation minister Ivan McKee.
