Johnson & Johnson today announced that it will collaborate with Apple in a study, called the Heartline Study, that aims to examine whether Apple Watch can detect a heart rate irregularity. The study offers the US citizen adults 65 years and older the opportunity to participate in the clinical study by providing access to their data of Medicare claims. The objective of the study is to change our understanding of digital health tools that can potentially lead to earlier detection of irregular heart rhythms and promote life-saving conversations with patients' doctors.
