Working Party Releases Opinion on Proposed ePrivacy Regulation

On April 4, theArticle 29 Working Party (WP29) issued an adopted Opinion on the Proposed Regulation for the ePrivacy Regulation. The proposed Regulation is intended to replace the ePrivacy Directive and to increase harmonization of ePrivacy rules in the EU. WP29 outlined points of concern to be improved during the legislative process, which is to be completed by May 2018 when the EU General Data Protection Regulation (DGPR) will take effect.
