According to the Economic Times, Saudi Arabia's Council of Ministers has approved its new Personal Data Protection Law. This new legislation is to be implemented within six months after its adoption, and seeks to protect users from data collection and processing without consent. The head of the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) has stated that the legislation aims to ensure give to users the right to view their data and know the purpose of data collection and processing, and they have the right to access it or obtain a copy of it.
