Google has agreed to pay$7.5 million in a settlement to end a consumer class action over past data breach caused by Google+ software bugs. According to Bloomberg, the plaintiffs had alleged that in 2019 two data leaks had caused the personal information of half a million users to be compromised. The settlement needs now to be approved by U.S. District Court Judge Edward Davila in San Jose, and would mean that Google+ users affected by the data breaches could receive between$5 and$12 each.
