At the end of its mandate at the presidency of the EU Council, Finland announced that it is offering an online artificial intelligence (AI) course for free to EU citizens. The course, developed in cooperation with the University of Helsinki and the tech consultancy Reaktor, is intended to empower EU citizens to take advantage of the opportunities offered by AI. The initiative is funded by the Finnish Ministry for Economic Affairs and Development, and builds on the success of 'The Elements of AI' course launched in 2018 and taken by over 220 000 students from over 110 countries.
