Mr. Pete Evan, Australian celebrity chef, was permanently banned from Instagram and Facebook for sharing misinformation about the coronavirus and vaccines. He had already received several warnings and had particular posts deleted before the platform decided to take this measure. On Wednesday, the company confirmed that the popular account had been removed for violating its policies on misinformation. A spokesperson at Facebook explained: "We don't allow anyone to share misinformation about COVID-19 that could lead to imminent physical harm or about Covid-19 vaccines that have been debunked by public health experts."
