The European Data Protection Board (EDPB) rejected a request from the German Data Protection authority (DE-HH SA) to urgently ban Facebook from processing WhatsApp user data. The German watchdog had ordered a ban on processing WhatsApp user data by Facebook after a change in the privacy policy that applies to European users of WhatsApp. Given the evidence provided in the case, the EDPB decided that the conditions to demonstrate the infringement and urgency of the cases are not met.
