Ring, the Amazon-owned maker of smart doorbells and cameras, has announced changes to its privacy settings, following concerns that customers' personal information were shared with Facebook, Google and other parties without users' consent. The changes will allow Ring users to block the sharing of most, but not all, of their data. According to CBS News, these concerns followed a study from the Electronic Frontiers Foundation showing that Ring's phone app was "packed with third-party trackers sending out a plethora of customers' personally identifiable information."
