The United Arab Emirates (UAE) announced large fines for those who share medical disinformation about COVID-19 (up to USD$5500). The government made the health ministry and other health institutions responsible for delivering 'true' medical information about the Coronavirus. The text of the announcement is ambiguous regarding whether journalists and other media professionals are included.
