More tech companies sue the FCC over net neutrality

Mar, 05, 2023 Hi-network.com
Six technology companies -Automattic, Etsy, Expa, Foursquare, Kickstarter, and Shutterstock -formed aCoalition for Internet Openness and filed a petition against the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) over its decision to roll back the 2015 net neutrality rules. The Coalition, created with the mission 'to advocate for a legal environment that preserves and extends the openness of the Internet -keeping it fast, open, and accessible to all Americans', argues in its petition that the FCC's Open Internet Order 'violates federal laws [...]; abdicates the FCC's statutory mandate; it is arbitrary, capricious, and an abuse of discretion [...]; and it is otherwise contrary to law.' The companies ask that the Court 'hold[s] unlawful, vacate, enjoin, and set aside the Order, and that it provide[s] additional relief as may be just and appropriate'.
