Jenfan Muswere, Zimbabwe's information and communication technology (ICT) minister, revealed the Smart Zimbabwe 2030 Master Plan, which is a new ICT strategy that will guide the industry on the specific innovations they should exploit in the digital future. The plan provides an all-inclusive, focused, and forward-thinking guideline that further identifies how the country can develop, deploy, and manage ICTs across all sectors. To this aim, it provides smart solutions in government, cities, agriculture, education, transportation, health, tourism, and mining, among others. 'These pillars are anchored on a strong foundation or common platforms which are: policy, regulation and standards; secure and shared Infrastructure; partnerships, skills, capacity building and content development; and confidence and security of networks and services,' said Muswere.
