US Ambassador to Russia John Sullivan was summoned to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for a meeting with Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov over alleged interference of US-based tech companies, namely Apple and Google, in Russia's 2021 parliamentary elections.
Sullivan and Ryabkov discussed the 'undeniable proof' that US-based tech companies are violating Russian laws ahead of upcoming parliamentary elections. Russia's Foreign Affairs Minister Lavrov noted that concrete evidence was handed over to Sullivan.
