The US has welcomed the January 29th EU release of a list of guidelines and measures for mitigating security risks in the rollout of 5G networks for its member states. The list of guidelines or toolbox highlights what restricts should be in place for vendors deemed to be high-risk. The US maintains its position of fully excluding high-risk vendors over restricting access to the network due to the far reaching impact of 5G networks and continues to call on its allies and partners to do the same.
