The US House of Representatives will vote next week on the bipartisan bill, Countering Untrusted Telecommunications Abroad Act, that would require the State Department to report on US NATO allies that use their 5G networks from Huawei and ZTE. Under this bill, publicly traded companies would be required to disclose if they contracted to use Huawei, and ZTE, while also mandating a report on telecommunications vulnerabilities in US embassies overseas to promote US national security.
