When searching for the best wireless charger, there is much to consider. These are some of the factors considered during my search.
There are many companies that manufacture wireless chargers, but not all of them may have the best reviews, warranties, or customer service. I found that the best wireless chargers come from tried and true companies like Belkin, Anker, Apple, and Mophie.
To better understand and describe MagSafe, I asked an expert directly. Harman Singh, director at Cyphere, a security services company, explained, "MagSafe is a magnetically attached wireless charging technology developed by Apple. It uses a ring of magnets on the back of compatible devices (such as the iPhone 12) to connect and charge wirelessly. The benefit of MagSafe is that it ensures the charging coil is perfectly aligned with the device, ensuring efficient and effective charging."
MagSafe works with newer iPhones and offers 15 watts instead of the standard 7.5 watts, giving you faster charging.
When asked whether wireless chargers work for all phones, Singh responded no. "Only phones that have wireless charging capabilities can use wireless chargers. Many newer smartphones, including most iPhones and Android devices, have wireless charging capabilities, but it's always a good idea to check the specifications of your specific device to be sure."
You will want to ensure that your phone is Qi-certified to work with your new wireless charger.
These aren't the only wireless chargers you can buy. In my search, I found many options that will do the job, but they may not have the additional features you can find in these best models. If you are looking for a more niche charger, these are the other best wireless chargers I also recommend.
You don't have to break the bank when you buy a new charger. Anker's 313 is the runner-up for best budget wireless charger.
