What a week! Cisco Live EMEA flew by nearly as fast as the digital evolution we are witnessing before our eyes! It was incredible to be there in person and to see so many people on the ground in Amsterdam. Every day was a new high; from the opening keynote where I had the pleasure to join Wendy Mars, Liz Centoni, Jonathan Davidson, Javed Khan, and Tom Gillis on stage and introduce Greg Swimer, the CTO of City Football Group to find out how Cisco has enhanced 'the experience' for City Group's fans around the world.
There were several key themes dominating Cisco Live EMEA. Energy and Sustainability featured high, and our Sustainability Zone was buzzing with activity. I was delighted to join Gordon Thomson on stage to talk about the role CX can play in driving a more sustainable future. Our conversation on Smart Buildings highlighted many themes including the varied priorities from Generations X, Y and Z around what they see as the ideal workplace, and the increased importance of more sustainable solutions. At Cisco, we are future-focused and agile and are looking forward to seeing what Gen Alpha will want from a workplace.
Our conversations with analysts were as candid as ever. It is refreshing to hear where we are adding value, and where we can be more active. One thing is for sure -Cisco CX is making waves, and our strategy is resonating with the market. We bring together a uniquely powerful combination of human + digital intelligence to empower you -our customers and partners -to get the outcomes that matter most, faster!
We had many conversations with attendees, partners, and customers about new technology trends emerging at a rapid pace, including ChatGPT. In fact, this shaped my on-stage discussion with Michael Kamper and Koen Bastiaens, where we discussed the need for a combination of human + digital solutions to help solve some of the most pressing business challenges faced by companies around the world. It is not just luck that our CX portfolio offers the best of both. We are here to help you simplify, transform, and innovate.
In our Innovation session, 'Creating exceptional experiences with digital and human intelligence,' Martin Gysi from Swisscom told us how Cisco's Digitise Delivery is helping spur innovation at Swisscom, and we even had a guest appearance from Thomas Rasmussen from Norlys who we had featured in one of our videos. He told the audience about the importance of trust that is built on the human interactions with Cisco.
A big congratulations to our EMEA CX Customer Heroes who collected awards. BT, Allianz, and BBVA all took award well-deserved awards.I was delighted to see our CX stand was always a flurry of activity, especially around our demos and the Lightning Talks which drew in the crowds. If you'd like to have a personal CX Cloud demo, let us know.
Thank you to all our speakers, attendees, and all those working hard behind the scenes who made everything run smoothly to ensure the complexities behind the scenes at Cisco Live disappeared so that our customers and partners had the best experience possible. In my keynote, I quoted Johan Cruyff who said, "Playing football is very simple, but playing simple football is the hardest thing there is." At Cisco Live EMEA, you all played at your very best, you took away the complexities and made things look 'simple' to ensure that all attendees had the best experience. That is what matters most, and we areALL INwhen it comes to experience!
