,China is actively developing a global network of quantum communications satellites to establish a secure and uncrackable communications system. According to the country's scientists, the network will use quantum key distribution (QKD) technology, which involves sending information using individual photons of light that are inextricably linked.,The network is expected to consist of over a dozen quantum communications satellites capable of covering most of the planet. The first satellite, Micius, was launched in 2016 and has been successfully used for quantum teleportation and long-range quantum key distribution experiments.
