China has passed a new law to allow its citizens to inherit digital currencies. The National People's Congress (NPC) adopted the country's first civil code, which was declared as a law by President of China Xi Jinping. The civil code guarantees its citizens' rights to protect their contract, property, and inheritance. The inheritance law in China was reviewed for the first time since its enactment 35 years ago. The revised inheritance law states that 'the legacy is the personal legal property left by a person when they die,' which will allow individuals to inherit Internet property, such as digital currencies and virtual gaming items, according to a report.
