A user at PC1 logs a ticket stating that they've lost access to the198.51.100.1publicly hosted IP address on ISP3-CORE.
You need to fix the problem, but where do you start? Do you use a top-down approach? Bottom-up? Follow the path? Divide & conquer? Maybe check PC1's IPv4 configuration? Ping PC1's default gateway? Check the layer 2 configuration on ASW1? Is it a DHCP issue or an ACL misconfiguration? Perhaps blame the ISP?
Welcome to the fun of troubleshooting network problems!
Back by popular demand, we will run our CCNP Enterprise hands-on troubleshooting lab at Cisco Live in Las Vegas on June 6, 2023, at 1 p.m. Pacific Time.
If you've graduated from CCNA and are ready to level up your routing and switching CLI troubleshooting skills, this is the session for you.
We've created 27 trouble tickets where you will get to test your VLAN, STP, trunking, EtherChannel, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, DHCP, NAT, and ACL knowledge and skills, across both IPv4 and IPv6.
Each ticket has one unique that you need to find and fix. Some issues might be easier or more challenging for you to tackle based on your expertise. | YouTube For example, maybe the network you currently support is running OSPF, so your EIGRP or BGP skills might need some sharpening!
During the session, we encourage you to ask us for a hint if you're stuck on a ticket for longer than 10 or 15 minutes.
You can also use Cisco's Configuration Guides if you're unfamiliar with the proper show commands or the configuration commands you'd use to fix the problem.
This year, we've expanded the topology to include six advanced BGP tickets! Will you be able to fix them all?
We're maxing out the session at 30 participants. The two attendees that complete all 27 tickets will receive a complementary Cisco Press CCNP Enterprise Portable Command Guide. You will also get access to the labs for 30 days after the conference, so if you don't finish all 27 tickets in the allotted 4 hours, you're welcome to continue the troubleshooting fun on your own!
