Australians will soon be able to access services from the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) using facial recognition technology. This is after the Australian government selected the company iProov to provide a liveness solution for Australia's national digital ID. ATO will use iProov's Genuine Presence Assurance that integrates secure facial biometric scans through a mobile app. Once a person is verified, they will be able to access services such as tax returns, accessing health services and applying for benefits.
