Representatives from both parties introduced the Water Data Act (HR 7792) at the US House of Representatives. The bill calls for the following: establishing a national water data framework; ensuring that Federal water data are made findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable; integrating water data and tools through common approaches to data infrastructure and platforms and establishing a national geospatial index for publishing and linking water data from Federal, State, Tribal, and other non-Federal sources for online discovery.
