The U.S. Congresswoman Maxine Waters, Chairwoman of theUnited States House of Representatives, Financial Services Committee,announcedthat Facebook Chairman and CEO Mark Zuckerberg will testify on October 23 hearing. Hearing will be held related to developments around the Facebooks cryptocurrency Libra. Mark Zuckerberg will be a witness at the hearing, which is entitled, "An Examination of Facebook and Its Impact on the Financial Services and Housing Sectors." This is a second hearing that Financial Service Committee is holding regard the developments on Libra. Earlier this year Facebook's head of the blockchain department, and a CEO of the Calibra digital wallet David Marcus, testified on hearing entitled: ''Examining Facebook's Proposed Cryptocurrency and Its Impact on Consumers, Investors, and the American Financial System.'
