Later this month, Fortinet will host its third annual Security Summit at the Fortinet Championship, bringing together top golf and technology talent for a unique, multi-day event in Napa, California. One of the most rewarding parts of the Fortinet Championship is the opportunity to invest in and give back to local organizations focused on critical initiatives and community engagement.
In honor of this year's International Day of Charity-established by the United Nations and recognized annually worldwide on September 5-we're excited to highlight the charitable organizations that have benefited from Fortinet Championship proceeds.
Building on Fortinet's long-standing commitment to making the world a safer and more sustainable place, we will once again donate a portion of the proceeds from this year's Fortinet Championship to benefit nonprofit organizations working in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), diversity and inclusion, reskilling, and more. Proceeds will also be donated to select nonprofit organizations based in the Napa Valley area, including:
Fortinet is also partnering with First Street Napa to host three days of golf-themed activities that benefit area charities and schools.
The "First Street Napa City and County Challenge" will take place Tuesday, September 12 from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Teams from city and county groups will compete for the best putt, most holes in one, and best score to receive prizes from specialty gift shop Bennington Napa Valley. The public can putt with the PGA TOUR pro golfers and get photos and autographs with the players during this event.
The "$20,000 Putting Challenge for Napa Charity" is scheduled for Wednesday, September 13 from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Teams from local charities will compete for top scores in qualifying rounds to advance as finalists at the putt-off at Silverado Resort on Saturday, September 16. Fortinet will also host the "$5,000 Putting Challenge for Napa Schools" at 5 p.m. the same day, allowing participants to compete and earn a$5,000 donation to the local school of their choice.
The event series will culminate with the "Putting Challenge Final Round" on Saturday, September 16 from noon to 1:15 p.m. Qualifying participants from Wednesday's event will compete for a$20,000 charity donation and a$5,000 school donation.
