The Executive Director of Sierra Leone Road Safety Authority, SLRSA, Ibrahim Sannoh has issued a biometric driver's licence to the country's president, Dr Julius Maada Bio to mark the launch of biometric drivers' licences in the country. During the ceremony, Sannoh stated that the new licence had enhanced features such as a smart chip, QR Code capability, security features, and multiple currencies. The features are expected to enhance road safety by tracking road users behaviour.
