Russian court fined Wikipedia 2 million roubles ($24,510) again for not deleting an article about the war in Ukraine, calling it 'banned content' related to the Russian military. The article allegedly contained 'classified military information' about a military unit's location, composition, and equipment, as well as information about the progress of what Russia calls its "special military operation".
This is the seventh fine given to Wikipedia Foundation by the Russian court in 2023, totalling now at 8.4 million roubles. The foundation was already fined for failing to remove several articles related to the war.
