Ontario's automated vehicle pilot program expanded

Ontario's Minister of Transportation expands Ontario's automated vehicle pilot program. According to the announcement, members of the public, not just registered pilot participants, will be allowed to drive automated vehicles equipped with SAE level 3 technology on Ontario roads. However, throughout the drive, a human driver still must be present and always ready to assume control of the vehicle in case of an emergency.
