Democrats in the US Congress introduced a net neutrality bill known as the Save the Internet Act, which aims to restore the open Internet order of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). The bill would nullify the FCC repeal that took effect in June 2018 and prohibit the FCC from repealing the rules in the future. On one hand, many important politicians have come out to support the bill, on the other hand, the FCC advocated that "The FCC's return in 2017 to the bipartisan, light-touch approach to internet regulation has been a success. The internet in America today is free and vibrant, and the main thing it needs to be saved from is heavy-handed regulation from the 1930s".
