The Supreme Court in India was faced with an appeal on whether Uber and Ola can determine their rides fares without the consent of their drivers and riders. The action pleaded that by deciding the fare for the ride, the companies did not allow users to discuss the price at a fair value. The court ruled that both ride-hailing apps do not facilitate anticompetitive practices between drivers by establishing the price for rides.
