Configuring the Traffic Count Interval

By configuring the traffic statistics interval function of an interface, users can count and analyze the messages of interest. At the same time, network congestion and service interruption can be avoided by checking the traffic statistics of the interface in advance and taking timely measures for traffic control.

 - When users find that the network is congested, they can set the interface's traffic statistics time interval to less than 300 seconds (30 seconds when congestion is intensified) and observe the interface's traffic distribution within a short period of time. For data messages that cause congestion, take flow control measures.

 - When the network bandwidth is sufficient and the business is running normally, you can set the traffic statistics interval of the interface to greater than 300 seconds. Once an abnormal traffic parameter is found, the traffic statistics interval is modified in time to facilitate more real-time observation of the trend of this traffic parameter.

 - The traffic statistics interval configured in system view takes effect on all interfaces whose interval is the default value.

 - The traffic statistics interval configured in interface view takes effect only for this interface and does not affect other interfaces.

 - The interval configured in interface view has a higher priority than the interval configured in system view.

 - To configure the interface flow-stat interval

1. Enter system view.

2. Enter interface view.

3. Configure the interface flow-stat interval.
