Tech giant Google has pledged to stop making AI and machine learning tools for the oil and gas industry that extract fossil fuels. Last year, Google received an estimated USD 65 million from oil and gas companies that make up less than 1% of total Google Cloud revenues. The news came shortly after the publication of the Greenpeace report titled 'How tech companies are helping big oil profit from climate destruction'.
