China plans to regulate domain name registration services

According to (here and here) the Chinese government is proposing a regulation that would require Internet domain names available in China to be provided only by domestic registration services, which should be managed by Chinese entities. In line with this draft regulation, Internet access service providers may not provide network access services to domain names which are not managed by domestic domain name registration service bodies.
