TRAI to discuss unsolicited online video advertisements

The Indian telecom regulator TRAI is examining ways to regulate unsolicited online video advertisements, which are automatically downloaded and which push users' data costs. The regulatory authority will discuss the issue with industry experts, service providers, and social media companies, to answer the question whether there should be 'rules and regulations around them, given the non-transparent way in which data usage is happening'.
