Samsung has banned its employees from using generative AI tools like ChatGPT, after discovering that staff had accidentally uploaded sensitive code to the platform. The company is concerned that data transmitted to external servers, which are difficult to retrieve and delete, may be disclosed to other users. The ban follows a survey conducted by the company last month, in which 65% of respondents said that such services pose a security risk. Samsung is developing its own internal AI tools and is working on ways to block the upload of sensitive company information to external services.
