The public authority Transport for London (TfL) refused to renew the licence of the Indian ride-hailing app Ola given public safety concerns. Ola has operated in London since February. Ola has failed to safeguard that all trips were provided by licensed drivers. More than 1000 trips were made by unlicensed drivers. Moreover, the company did not report this failure to TfL when it became aware of these failures. Ola has 21 days to appeal to the decision and can operate in London for this period.
