Nepal ended India's Internet monopoly

Nepal officiallyended India's Internet monopoly. The country has started using a new backbone connectivity after Nepal Telecom and China Telecom Global launched their services. The construction finished in August 2017, and was followed by a series of testing. Difficult mountainous conditions delayed the laying out of the new cable by several months.
