Competition Commission of India to launch study to examine OTT impact on film releases

The Competition Commission of India (CCI) intends to launch a study into film distribution in order to better understand the impact which over-the-top platforms have had on film distribution and to determine whether few of the existing practices being followed are anti-competitive. These include the collaboration between producers, distributors, and exhibitors in deciding upon the film release dates.
