The competition authority in Israel announced it is considering imposing a fine of$1.8 million on Facebook for buying 2 Israeli companies without the authority's consent. Under Israel's competition law, Facebook is obliged to report on and ask permission for new acquisitions, considering the platform has a dominant market position, which exceeds 50% of the market share in the country.
