Verizon has launched a new search engine "OneSearch", marketed as having privacy-focused features, though remaining an ad-supported platform. As reported by the Verge, the company says that OneSearch allows to "search the internet with increased confidence, knowing your personal and search data isn't being tracked, stored, or shared with advertisers." According to ArsTechnica, Verizon is an 'unlikely candidate to launch a product whose entire pitch is based on privacy', following a number of lawsuits and fines in the past years for serious privacy violations.
