Indonesia to examine tax reports of Internet companies

According to Reuters, Indonesia's tax office will be examining the tax reports of Yahoo, Twitter, Google and Facebook. Finance Minister Brodjonegoro told the media outlet that 'revenue from ads should be part of those taxable by us,' adding, 'we will be serious in straightening up taxes on digital economy.' The move could be motivated by the sizable revenue shortfall that the country is facing this year.
