According to the newspaper Le Monde, the French data protection authority (CNIL) has announced that it had given formal notice to the private company Francetest to secure the health data it collects on behalf of pharmacies during Covid-19 tests. It added that it had approached "more than 300 pharmacies to check their compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and their security obligation". A data breach, making accessible some 700,000 results of antigenic tests performed in pharmacies, had been revealed in August 2021.
